Thank you for your interest in an internship at Penny Lane Centers.  Unfortunately, we are currently not accepting applications for external internships.  Our application cycle opens in May for interns who begin internships in the summer or fall of 2025. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are Penny Lane Centers internships paid?
A: No, unfortunately PLC internships are unpaid.

Do you offer fully remote internship opportunities?
A: No, due to the nature of our work, we require in person participation.

Where is Penny Lane Centers located?
A: We have three primary locations; Lancaster/Palmdale, Commerce, and North Hills/San Fernando.

What programs offer internships?
A: We offer a variety of programs across locations. We have had interns participate in our housing program, substance abuse programs, foster care, drop-in centers, outpatient therapy, and much more.

Can you tell me about the onboarding process?
A: Typically, we require the following for onboarding:
·          Live Scan Fingerprint
·          Physical & TB Exam
·          Proof of Auto Insurance
·          DMV report for the past 3 years
·          Out-of-State Disclosure & Criminal Record Statement form
·          Copy of BA Degree
·          Proof of enrollment in a related Master’s Degree Program
·          Job Description initial all pages sign and return
·          Confidential Information Sheet

Upon successful pre-internship clearances the agency will contact you to discuss an official start date.  In addition, you will receive a lot of training and information regarding policies, procedures, and expectations during the first two months of your internship experience.

Are there opportunities for full-time employment or other advancements?
A: Absolutely, there are opportunities, depending on program need, for interns to be hired into full time positions once they complete their internship.
