Rise Up Conference- September 21st!

September 2, 2022

Rise Up is Days Away!!

On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, we will gather at the California Endowment Center to learn about, discuss and acknowledge the racial and social justice disparities that exist in our society.  We recognize that it is not easy to talk about race, but we also recognize that to stay silent is to accept the status quo.  The status quo is not good enough.  Joining together we can make a difference.  We can learn from each other, and we can commit to action steps to help eradicate these disparities. It won’t be easy, but can we guarantee that it will definitely be worth it.

Please join us as we welcome an amazing group of speakers, panelists, and facilitators.  We are so happy that they have agreed to join us in making the day one to remember.

Here is a sneak peek . . .

  • Self Portraits and Privilege: Daniel Bustamante and Fanta Ritchie

RISE UP: A Racial Justice Conference

Join Us September 21st!!  Penny Lane Centers proudly presents Rise Up: A Racial Justice Conference. This is a one day event to build awareness and enhance understanding around social and racial justice issues. Racial inequality has been woven into the fabric of our society, but that does not make it okay. At Penny Lane we are working daily to bring awareness and attention to the issues that continue to negatively impact the BIPOC community. Societal ideas about racial equity must be addressed and must be changed in order for there to be true equity. Through our one-day conference, it is our hope that you will learn something new, be moved and called to action to be part of the positive change that is needed. It is our hope that you too will Rise Up.
