Penny Lane Centers is proud to host the 15th Annual EDGY Conference (Embracing the Diversity of GLBTQ+ Youth and families). This one-day conference brings together professionals, educators, caregivers, youth, and allies to foster awareness, develop cultural competency, and share emerging best practices in supporting LGBTQ+ youth and their families. Through expert-led workshops, engaging panels, and networking opportunities, the EDGY Conference equips attendees with the tools and knowledge to create more inclusive and supportive environments.
The theme Queer Horizons is a call to action and a vision for the future—a future where LGBTQ+ youth not only survive but thrive. It represents the boundless potential of creating affirming horizons where all young people can explore their identities, access the support they need, and feel empowered to embrace their true selves. These affirming horizons serve as beacons of hope, guiding LGBTQ+ youth through challenges and inspiring allies to stand in solidarity.
In the face of heightened social and political adversity, Queer Horizons is a reminder of the power of resilience and community. It emphasizes the need for spaces that affirm and uplift LGBTQ+ youth by recognizing their diverse identities, intersectional experiences, and unique contributions to the world. These horizons are built on inclusivity, allyship, and equity—values that ensure no one is left behind.
This year’s theme challenges us to answer critical questions:
We want you to empower this change as Penny Lane presents EDGY 2025 to over 400+ attendees eager to learn more and do more. EDGY prides itself on providing “take aways,” resources and tools for us all to use to help LGBTQ+ youth. These are our kids. EDGY looks to extend the community and support we all need to transform lives.
