In the spirit of the holiday season, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to all the incredible donors such as the Be A Santa Program, Logix, Ares Management, Coldwell Banker Realty, Fortress Investment Group, to name a few. They have shared their kindness with our children, youth, and families through their generous toy and monetary donations. Their compassion and selflessness have made an immense difference in the lives of so many, bringing smiles and joy to those who need it the most.
This year, thanks to their overwhelming support, we have been able to provide toys to hundreds of children and families. These donations do much more than just brighten a holiday. They serve as a reminder that kindness and generosity can truly change the world. For many of the children and families we serve, these gifts represent more than just a material item—they represent hope, love, and a sense of belonging.
But their kindness does not stop at the toys themselves. It goes beyond the material gifts to the message that they are sending to our clients; that people care, that they are not alone, and that they deserve to experience joy. Thank you to the community that supports us as we come together to celebrate the holidays and create something truly special for our children and families during this Holiday Season.
Penny Lane is deeply touched by the generosity of Pat Tallman, through our “Be a Santa” program, and her incredible network of friends from around the world. Thanks to their kindness, over $30,000 was raised to purchase toys for our children and families, ensuring they experienced the joy and warmth of the season.
Pat’s dedication to Penny Lane Centers spans more than 20 years, with a special focus on supporting our youth. Her commitment is unwavering, even when she’s living or traveling across the globe. No matter where she is, Pat consistently remembers our children and rallies her friends to support us during the holiday season.
We are immensely grateful for her leadership and the ongoing support of her friends. The outpouring of generosity went beyond our local community, with individuals from across the country uniting to brighten the holidays for our children. Moments like these remind us of the power of community, compassion, and collective effort.
We are so thankful to Pat and to everyone who contributed, whether near or far. Your generosity brings hope, happiness, and the true spirit of the season to those who need it most. Thank you for making this holiday season unforgettable for our children and families. Together, we are making a difference!
FedEx Cares is a global community engagement program as well as one of the ways that FedEx fulfills their purpose of connecting people and possibilities. Their goal is to help make the world a better place through in-kind shipping, volunteering time and expertise, and charitable giving.
This year, FedEx Cares partnered with Penny Lane Centers in the Antelope Valley to provide bags of non-perishable food items which were distributed to the most vulnerable families that we serve. We appreciate the FedEx Cares team and all they have done for Penny Lane Centers and the community we serve!
Toluca Lake once again proved that the true magic of the holiday season lies in the hearts of those who come together to support one another. What began in 1982 as a humble gathering of festive friends driving around the neighborhood singing Christmas carols in a single pickup truck, has now grown into a spectacular, annual tradition the Magical Holiday Parade.
Over the years, this heartwarming event has expanded into a grand celebration, complete with an 18-wheeler truck adorned with dazzling lights, costumes, and festive music. The parade has become a beloved tradition not only for residents of Toluca Lake, but also for the surrounding neighborhoods, bringing families and friends together to celebrate the season and share in the joy of giving.
This year, the parade was as magical as ever, not only for the fun and festive atmosphere it created but also for the outpouring of generosity from the Toluca Lake community. Neighbors lined the streets, eager to donate gifts along the parade route to benefit the children and families of Penny Lane Centers, a non-profit organization that provides services to vulnerable youth and families in need.
It was truly a sight to witness; children, families, and community members coming together to volunteer, participate in the fun, and contribute to a cause that will make a real difference in the lives of others. The collective spirit of compassion and goodwill was palpable, filling the streets with warmth and joy.
A special thank you goes out to Craig Strong – Strong Realtor (Compass), Carolina Sandoval, Michael Whal, the Toluca Lake volunteers, and the Board of Directors of the Toluca Lake Magical Holiday Parade as well as Penny Lane staff Cynthia Shackelford, Jenay Valdez and Nydia Barakat for volunteering at the parade and to all for their tireless efforts in organizing this beautiful event. Their dedication, along with the contributions of the generous donors, made this year’s parade a shining success. The donations collected during the parade will go a long way in supporting the children and families at Penny Lane Centers. The gifts will bring smiles, joy, and hope to those who need it most, making a meaningful impact in their lives during the holiday season and beyond.
On behalf of Penny Lane Centers and the families we serve, thank you for helping make this holiday season brighter for so many. Together, we’ve made a real difference.
