On January 16, 2025, Penny Lane held our Second Annual “Operation Warm” event with Subaru and our in-home services programs at Imagine Village. Subaru’s Operation Warm is a national nonprofit that provides warmth and hope to underserved children by connecting them with resources. The goal is to empower families through new coats. Subaru has partnered with Operation Warm to support donation events with a variety of agencies, including Penny Lane Centers.
We received a very kind donation of 120 coats that were distributed to children and their families the day of the event. We hope to continue this partnership with Subaru and a special shout out to the Subaru staff who volunteered at the event and our Foster Care, Prevention and Aftercare, and Family Preservation staff for their time and support!

The Intensive Services North Hills YAYA award for the month of January 2025 goes to Diane Delawari! Diane’s has had a very active caseload the past few months. She’s done an excellent job managing multiple crisis calls, hospitalizations, and navigating other circumstances that can be barriers to treatment. Diane also has filled in and provide case coverage for other Team members when needed.
Diane is communicative and keeps all the supervisors updated and stays on top of everything including documentation. She is a hub of communication between our youth, families, the team, psychiatrists, and other external providers and professionals. She truly embodies what great teamwork is and is constantly collaborating and seeking solutions for our youth and families.
Congratulations Diane!

The Commerce Clinic has been enjoying a 30-day challenge that started January 1st, in which we committed to exercise for 30 minutes daily. Mike Morellino sends out weekly emails to check in to see how we are doing and motivate each other. As the Strive to Thrive Fitness Challenge is about to begin February 1. The January challenge has been a warm-up for that!
On Wednesday’s we also have the “Untethered Soul Family”, if subscribed, we get an email with a quote of the week from the book Untethered Soul by Michael Singer and also Mike’s own comments. Staff really like the quotes and comments of the week since it’s a time for mindfulness reading and time for reflection.
